I purchased the cleaver to complement the Fire Chef machete & carving knife that I had bought. Not disappointed at all. It is a serious piece of equipment and as always, the service from order to delivery was excellent.

Beautiful quality. We purchased cleaver and chef’s knife, as a joint gift with our son for our grandson for his 18th birthday. We had his initials and date of birth engraved on them, beautiful job, something he will have for the rest of his life, if he cares for them. Thank you.

Phenomenal knife. Sharp, well weighted and cuts like a dream. Despite its size it is an incredibly versatile knife and is the perfect companion for camping, doubles as a bench scraper and garlic smasher, always great to have something that can do multiple things at camp.

Good God!
I have looked far and wide for this knife.
So many claim they have the answer….
This knife is beyond what I thought was possible in a tool.
Stop looking around- buy this knife and decide early who will inherit it when you have passed on to the great BBQ in the sky. YOUR FAMILY WILL FIGHT OVER IT.
I’m saving cash for the full set as I write this.
Enjoy!!
Ian Jones Verified owner
Great for chopping or push and slide cutting little weapon.

Dale Verified owner
Well weighted knife, cuts smooth and is great looking!
Paul Verified owner
As usual, service is outstanding. I couldn’t believe how quickly the cleavers arrived especially as they were engraved,
I was super impressed with the packageing, quality and weight of the cleavers. (love the included protective sheath) I bought these cleavers as Christmas presents for my 2 adult sons so haven’t used them myself, but I am sure they will love them as we have all discussed Harry Fisher’s use and admiration of them.
Phil Murray Verified owner
I’m a bit of a knife enthusiast and make most of my kit myself so I was hesitant to buy the cleaver but I’m super glad I did. It’s the perfect weight for multi purpose cooking and having that extra depth and weight Is such an advantage when picking up your cut ingredients from chopping boards and also stops you from using excess force with your cutting. Congratualations on the design, you guys nailed it and you wouldn’t feel ripped off if it was double this price. Keep up the good work.
Linda Verified owner
Bought this as an anniversary gift for my partner who is a huge fan of Harry from Fire to Fork.
The knife has a very good weight to it, making it really easy to cut meats and larger food items. The engraving made the knife much more personal
The staff were amazing. I had emailed about worries of the knife not coming on time for our camping trip but they were super quick to respond and to let me know that it will definitely be coming before then
100% would recommend if you’re considering it
Rob White Verified owner

I thought I’d make it more special and get it engraved and he absolutely loved it.
He loves using it and loves the fact it comes with its own seperate cover.
Would highly recommended
Simon Verified owner
This is a beautifully made high quality cleaver. It feels great in the hand. It is different to any other knife i have handled. Despite its size, it is incredibly versatile. I look forward to preparing many campfire meals with this beauty.
Stirling Verified owner
I stumbled across Fire to Fork on youtube and watched Harry banging on about this cleaver in more than one video and immediately wanted one. It looks and feels amazing as the craftmanship is very skilled and the edge is scary sharp out of the box. I’m really looking forward to how this knife develops it’s character over time as we journey through life together. If you are reading reviews and still haven’t added this cleaver to your cart do it now!
Scott Wilkinson Verified owner
An impressive piece of kit to use, well balanced and well made. Impressed a couple of mates so much on a camping trip they intend to purchase themselves.

Beautiful knife/cleaver, carbon steel blade is very sharp and if you read the care instructions, it is very easy to maintain, I purchased it to last the rest of my days and pretty certain it will be around for a lot longer!..I’m only 50 LOL, it’s a great addition to my knife kit,
Chris Verified owner

Just posted a review for the Chef’s Knife but the Chef’s Cleaver is on another level. I was drawn to it watching Fire To Fork and it seems to be Harry’s go to for just about everything he does. This type of knife is new to me and I really am enjoying the benefits of the cleaver style blade when chopping veges and preparing them for cooking. It’s great for anything (meat, veges, pastries, pizza, etc) and I’m really looking forward to taking it camping. I think it will be a real game changer in the camp kitchen. Like the Chef’s knife, its razor sharp and the protective sheath is a great compliment to the knife to avoid losing a finger or damaging the edge when it’s traveling. Highly recommend this.
Ewan Winter
The Chef’s Cleaver is quickly becoming my favourite knife! We also have the Chef’s Knife and the Machete. Great quality, super sharp and durable blade. I like the larger blade as the weight does most of the work for you while chopping, yet it’s still able to do more intricate work (to a point).
Do your self a favour and pre season these knives per the instructions it makes a world of difference! 2 more to go and I guess I’ll have to buy the leather roll to keep tham all
Jo-Anne Verified owner
Always wanted a good quality cleaver. So happy I chose the Fire Chef Cleaver . Love it and the service and quick delivery of my cleaver

As everyone has said, incredible service. Purchased late Friday evening and delivered, engraved, Wednesday afternoon.
I purchased the full set,in the roll. After purchase you get email confirmation and instructions on care of your knives. This gave me the heads up to buy some instant coffee before arrival.
The knives are incredibly sharp. When they arrived sadly all I had to test them on was some banana peels. Obviously that was a breeze, did them so easily. But what did alarm me was while cutting, before my eyes the blade started staining. At this stage I had only washed and dried the knives. I hadn’t seasoned them in the coffee yet. Quickly washing and drying the knife again did remove most of the stain. And since seasoning in coffee it hasn’t happened again.
The knives are amazingly sharp but I was disappointed how quickly they lose their edge. They have only had very light kitchen use and became dull very quickly. But a few seconds before, and sometimes during use, with a steel is maintaining them at peak sharpness.
This is not a chore, you are warned about the carbon knife characteristics beforehand and wiping a knife and sharpening during use was actually already a practice I was in. They are fantastic knives. The cleaver is my first ever cleaver and I’m blown away by its versatility. So much so that sadly I already don’t use any of the other knives.
The leather roll is stiff to put knives in for the first few uses but softens very quickly and is great for keeping knives between use.
I am a very happy repeat ozbraai customer.

First let me say amazing service. Dispatch was really quick while most other suppliers blame covid this covid that these guys are ahead of the game. We bought two knives but we especially like the cleaver. It’s easy to slice onion and all sorts of goods. We did make the mistake of not drying it first use and it tainted. But a quick clean and a lesson learnt. Thanks

Mat Rogers Verified owner
Outstanding customer service!!! The team at Ozbraai absolutely nailed this with my recent purchase.
So before I get onto the product itself, I feel I need to highlife one import area a lot of companies get wrong and that’s customer service.
When I initially ordered my chef knife combo I selected the chef’s knife and cleaver, I ended up with the cleaver and machete.
I contacted the team via Instagram on a Sunday to advise of the mistake.
I received a reply back within 10 minutes, after checking my order and confirming the mistake.
They sent the correct knife the following morning, and I received it two days later in WA!
On top of this I received a sincere apology and was told to keep the incorrect knife as a gift for the mistake. This is no $20 knife we’re talking about.
So the knife itself… OMG why have I been struggling for so long with cheap knives, game changer.
Will certainly be purchasing from these guys in the future.
Ed Martin Verified owner

I recently purchased the Chef’s Cleaver to use on camping trips. It’s been used for everything from chopping up veggies to field dressing and cooking rabbit. The size and weight make it perfect for me, I genuinely enjoy using it. My wife finds it a little too heavy, good thing I didn’t buy it for her…

As someone who has lived most of my life on the land, I understand the importance of quality tools. The Chef’s Cleaver is a ripper!
Indoors or out bush if I’m preparing a meal its my main tool. A great bit of kit.

I love these knives, I use them for all sorts of jobs in the kitchen. I get lots of envious compliments from guests when using them. I just purchased a few more and gave as Christmas gifts. A big hit!

Absolutely love the quality of the cleaver. Also bought the Chef’s Knife. They feel really good to hold. Easy to use and easy to sharpen. Great knives are a must have anywhere

Such a beatiful knife. I’ve been searching for a good size cleaver and this is the one, extremely happy with the wait. Overall, this is a gem, its so versatily and you’ll have the confidence that the blade will stay sharp longer than any other cleaver on the market. Construction, very well made….love the carbon steel, very sexy and unique in my arsenal of knifes.

I cooked up a lamb spit on my Auspit at Christmas and carved it up with my new Ozbraai chef’s cleaver. No effort what so ever, it was like cutting through melted butter. Love this knife over my Snow Peak ones

My wife purchased for Christmas and arrived day before. I haven’t been able to put it down and feels balanced and light, but also makes light work chopping pork spareribs and the professional cut to roasted pork belly. I might have to hide it away as kids and wife starting to expect more gourmet. Thanks OzBraai

Quality knife. Well balanced and comfortable to use despite the clunky look. Incredibly sharp straight out of the box. Haven’t had to sharpen it yet (light work for couple months). Needs to be washed and dried immediately after use, however. I sat mine on the bench for 30 minutes after a rinse and it now has little orange spots.
Cheers for the recommendation, Harry from Fire to Fork (youtube).

Fantastic knife. Razor sharp out of the box and holds an edge beautifully. It’s still slicing tomatoes likes it’s fresh out of the box and we’ve had it nearly a year now. I’d happy purchase again

This knife is awesome, looks good and is well made with a nice weight to it. Ergonomics are great when using it, and its just as at home slicing cleanly and easily through fresh baked bread as it is a nice piece of meat. I use it for all but the finest cutting. Thanks also to Harry from Fire to Fork also as I wouldn’t have know it existed if it wasn’t for him!

I like a lot of people saw the knife used on FiretoFork(Youtube), I was in the lookout for a new knife and decided to give it a go, I have been really impressed so far from cutting through large meat pieces to more delicate trimming for Beef Jerky,
A must for the kitchen or camp

Love it. Well balanced, feels good to hold. Holds its edge well. Kinda wish the sheath was darker so it doesn’t show the camping dirt so much.

Love the knife. The weight on blade makes cutting simple. I use it the same way as firetofork, and it will be a great addition to the camping setup.

Love that I can slice effortlessly, then scoop up everything and transfer to the pan and even stir. Respect it and use a steel after washing and drying before storing in the sleeve. Awesome knife
