Weve used to cook roast veggies for 6 adults and turning was ever so easy with just a flick of the wrist instead of individually turning each piece of potato/carrot,pumpkin etc.
It can used it to cook the protein, 2 whole spatchcocked chickens, boned lamb leg, whole fish, over the camp fire and we all know what added flavor that adds. We also used it as a platform for frying pan to cook the chips, right over the hottest part of the fire. or the billy to boil for dishes whilst we were eating.
If I ever get divorced, this thing is coming with me, no question…

Just did the review for the Travel Braai, but the Camp Braai takes it to a whole new level. We used this for camp cooking for a larger group and it handle the cook with ease. We only ever cook over fire and colas when we’re camping. Fantastic concept for adjusting the cooking temperature. So easy to control the amount of heat with the three different heights. We just lowered the rack as the coals cooled to keep the heat at roughly the same level. Just a great tool to have for camp cooking and wouldn’t go camping now without it or it’s little brother the Travel Braai.

The only improvement I could suggest would be tent peg style spikes at the bottom instead of the rounded off feet to aid in the stability of the frame around the fire….

We appreciate your feedback regarding the tent peg style spikes for added stability. Interestingly, earlier versions of the Camp Braai did have pegs as you suggested. However, we found that they posed some challenges, such as damaging the carry bag. Additionally, in many terrains, achieving consistent grounding with three pegs proved to be a bit tricky. That’s why we transitioned to the rounded off feet design.
On a related note, we’ve included an additional peg inside the bag. This peg is designed to offer a bit more stability on uneven grounds, so you might find it helpful in those situations.
Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we’re always looking for ways to improve our products. If you have any other suggestions or insights from your camping experiences, please don’t hesitate to share. We’re always here to listen and improve.

The grid is perfect and easy to clean, but the stand is not to be outshined. We used the stand for other utensils as well – someone stuck a pan on it, while another person used it to keep a ‘potjie’ warm.

The Camp Braai is very well made and the versatility of what I can cook with it is brilliant. The ability to change the depth of the basket enables you to keep food snug and in place and turn everything at once when needed. Heat control is superb with multiple levels to use on the stand. It’s easy to clean by burning off bits in the fire and a quick scrub with a wire brush and occasionally it’s thrown in the dishwasher.
The bag it came in is plenty big enough to store it in when not being used and the fold away handle keeps it as compact as it can be.

Purchased the Camp Braai after cousin came to our place and cooked an amazing garlic/rosemary marinated lamb shoulder over the coals. Unit arrived within a week and half of ordering (WA). Maiden voyage was the peri peri chicken recipe from Oz Braai website. Marinated large butterflied chook overnight. Placed over coals for 2 hours, turning every 15 minutes. Was great flavour and very tender/moist. Very happy with this product. Much easier cooking in basket than over grill plate like we used to.
