The camp braai is an awesome bit of kit – used it to cook a lamb shoulder and it came out tops. Attention to detail to make your braai experience even better, like the inclusion of a inner dirt bag, the quality of the parts, the ease of how everything fits together so well, are all above and beyond the norm.

Best braai to throw into the back of the bakkie when heading out. Just have to watch my son does not take it.
jody Verified owner
The camp braai is the best piece of gear we have added to our camp kit is years. Its very well made, and so versatile and the packaging is quality also.
Weve used to cook roast veggies for 6 adults and turning was ever so easy with just a flick of the wrist instead of individually turning each piece of potato/carrot,pumpkin etc.
It can used it to cook the protein, 2 whole spatchcocked chickens, boned lamb leg, whole fish, over the camp fire and we all know what added flavor that adds. We also used it as a platform for frying pan to cook the chips, right over the hottest part of the fire. or the billy to boil for dishes whilst we were eating.
If I ever get divorced, this thing is coming with me, no question…
Col
Camp braai is, without a doubt, simply the best way to cook meat. We also have done garlic pizza bread which was a massive hit and has become a staple entree for all our cookouts!
We’re buying another one shortly so we can cook for 20 people. I work in manufacturing industry, and I am blown away by the quality of the braai, the accessories and even the bag it comes in! Well done guys.

Just did the review for the Travel Braai, but the Camp Braai takes it to a whole new level. We used this for camp cooking for a larger group and it handle the cook with ease. We only ever cook over fire and colas when we’re camping. Fantastic concept for adjusting the cooking temperature. So easy to control the amount of heat with the three different heights. We just lowered the rack as the coals cooled to keep the heat at roughly the same level. Just a great tool to have for camp cooking and wouldn’t go camping now without it or it’s little brother the Travel Braai.

Dean Fowler Verified owner
Great campfire cooking tool….purchased it to give it a go at our latest camping trip with family and it didn’t disappoint.
The only improvement I could suggest would be tent peg style spikes at the bottom instead of the rounded off feet to aid in the stability of the frame around the fire….
OZ Braai Verified owner
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review on our Camp Braai! We’re thrilled to hear that it served you well during your camping trip with your family.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the tent peg style spikes for added stability. Interestingly, earlier versions of the Camp Braai did have pegs as you suggested. However, we found that they posed some challenges, such as damaging the carry bag. Additionally, in many terrains, achieving consistent grounding with three pegs proved to be a bit tricky. That’s why we transitioned to the rounded off feet design.
On a related note, we’ve included an additional peg inside the bag. This peg is designed to offer a bit more stability on uneven grounds, so you might find it helpful in those situations.
Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we’re always looking for ways to improve our products. If you have any other suggestions or insights from your camping experiences, please don’t hesitate to share. We’re always here to listen and improve.
Thanks again for choosing OZ Braai, and happy camping!

this is a great tool for camping and open fire cooking; delivery was quick; as a newbie to braai cooking, i have to say I’m really impressed with the superior way it cooks meat – so much more juicy than other methods. the capacity to vary the height above the coals is the big thing, plus being able to put it in the dishwasher! a quality product.

It’s always a pleasure to find a quality bit of camping kit. The OzBraai is just as good as the reviews that I had read. I like the stainless finish and ease of use (although it does take a bit of cleaning depending on what you cook). I have a new passion for camp cooking after getting the braai and I look forwards to experimenting with different recipes. We had a little issue with the initial order but it was quickly and efficiently fixed by OzBraai. Well done team.
Denis Verified owner
Great product. Ordered after seeing it on Fire to Fork. Does everything you would need or expect. Solid construction great product. I can see this one being in my camp setup for many years to come.
iwvdm Verified owner
Love it! Took it for its first camping trip a weekend ago and didn’t cook on anything else – even used it to cook for the neighbours!
The grid is perfect and easy to clean, but the stand is not to be outshined. We used the stand for other utensils as well – someone stuck a pan on it, while another person used it to keep a ‘potjie’ warm.
Got home and put it in the dishwasher, back in its bag, and ready for the next trip!
Cannot recommend the product and the service enough.
Thanks!

I bought 2 Camp Braai’s recently. Firstly at checkout the discount code was not applied as I did not double check and I did not notice until I completed check out. I contacted the guys at Ozbraai and the refunded the money without question. They are so awesome to deal with and their customer service is the best. So firstly thank you again. I received my parcel in the record time and to say that I am happy is an understatement. Great quality and so versatile to use and packs up nice and compact and is great for touring and camping amongst other things.
Do yourself a favour and get one as you won’t be disappointed. I should have bought one of these a long time ago.
The second one I bought for a friend that goes caravanning around Australia and they just love theirs as well.
Thanks again Ozbraai, you have great products and are great to deal with. I will be back to grab some goodies from you shortly.

The camp Braai is awesome. It doen’t take up too much room as it packs up to a good size and is very light weight. The fact you can cook horizontally and vertically is fantastic, just so versitile!
Delivery was so quick which was fantastic.
We have the Braai Grid which is another fantastic product. We have put our wrought iron camp oven on it and it didn’t collapse not many grid can take that much weight.
Troy Verified owner
I LOVE the camp Braai. Light weight, easy use and packs up flat so it takes up next to no room. Cook all your cut meats, wings and toasties. Adjustable heights so you can control the heat for whatever your cooking. A must have for the campsite.
Shaun Verified owner
Inspired by Fire to fork, got to say I’ve been using standard BBQ/ mesh plates on fires for years. This little baby is a game changer, keeps the marinade together and nice and easy to flip because everything is contained. I like how simple, lightweight (very important when camping) packs down.
Bec R Verified owner
Best thing I’ve bought for myself to cook with!
The Camp Braai is very well made and the versatility of what I can cook with it is brilliant. The ability to change the depth of the basket enables you to keep food snug and in place and turn everything at once when needed. Heat control is superb with multiple levels to use on the stand. It’s easy to clean by burning off bits in the fire and a quick scrub with a wire brush and occasionally it’s thrown in the dishwasher.
The bag it came in is plenty big enough to store it in when not being used and the fold away handle keeps it as compact as it can be.
Yes, I have a Travel Braai too and absolutely love them both!
Oz Braai has been a pleasure to purchase multiple items from as their shipping has been super fast.

Absolutely loved cooking on the Camp Braai. First use we cooked a flat piece of lamb and it was the best lamb I have ever eaten. We cooked a flat chicken and vegetables. Its so easy to turn over and having the different levels makes it so easy to sear meat then raise the height to slow cook. Love to try fish next.

Great service and prompt delivery (3 days) to southern NSW. This is a must have for any camper. Strong and well made from quality materials and will last a lifetime. It’s light, easy to clean, and pack up. The beauty of cooking using this camp braai is you don’t need to use tongs to flip the food. From toasties to meat to chicken to veg, it cooks perfectly by raising or lowering the height of the braai cage. I should have bought one of these years ago and would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Ray Verified owner
Really great idea. I have used braai’s my whole life and to have one that works and folds up like the Camp Braai does is awesome – especially for overlanding in my Cruiser. Oh, and the steak sandwich recipe by Harry Fisher (Fire to Fork) is my new fav.

Purchased the Camp Braai after cousin came to our place and cooked an amazing garlic/rosemary marinated lamb shoulder over the coals. Unit arrived within a week and half of ordering (WA). Maiden voyage was the peri peri chicken recipe from Oz Braai website. Marinated large butterflied chook overnight. Placed over coals for 2 hours, turning every 15 minutes. Was great flavour and very tender/moist. Very happy with this product. Much easier cooking in basket than over grill plate like we used to. Received Harry Fire to Fork cook book as birthday present – looking forward to getting out the Camp braai again very soon. (From a happy genuine,non-sponsored customer) Cheers

The camp brai is a very useful piece of kit. It can be used to cook meat or vegetables either horizontal over the coals or vertically beside a hotter fire. This is great with several families sharing a fire. Very versatile.

Damien Verified owner
Super impressive piece of kit. Significantly higher quality to models I had looked at elsewhere.

Purchased the camp braai and have used it a few times on the weber and while camping over a fire pit. While I’ve used baskets before, the way the frame works provides great flexibility. Ive cooked numerous types of meats, and vegetables. It even makes great chips. My camp buddies were impressed and have probably bought their own.
I’ve only had one issue with the basket clip springing off, but luckily saved the night.

Okes, this is a must have while you’re waiting for the Ozbraai big boy. I wish we could post photos, because I’m sitting here cooking some chicken in a braai which I haven’t been able to do for a long time. The grid is on my Bunnings $99 fire pit.
Oh yes, quick delivery and very, very, good quality.

Five stars just for asking for a review after I’ve had plenty of time to use the Camp Braai. It seems others don’t understand that you might not use something the minute you buy it.
The Camp Braai has been awesome on two trips so far. Love the food that we cook in it and that it fits in the dishwasher when we get home. Can’t imagine camping without one now.
David Glasper Verified owner
This is the 2nd camp braai I have purchased. This is a highly versatile piece of equipment that feels like it will last forever. Stay away from cheap imitations and get the real deal. These guys are obsessive when it comes to quality control. I couldn’t be happier with the product or the exceptional customer service.

Xmas 2020 present. Bit of a slow start but now use it every weekend. Love being able to easily turn over the meal and if it is cooking a little fast just move it off to the side. The meat flavour is next level, smokey, juicy and just divine. Whole corn cobs work a treat in the Braai as well.

Great product. I have been camp cooking exclusively on fires for decades, and this product has simplified my cooking.
It has opened up camp fire cooking to a host of different cooking styles.
My son purchased his Brae I think in early 2020, and his diet have the folding handle as mine has.
Can you assist in providing a solution to how he could refigure the handle into a folding handle.
Cheers Mark J

After watching Fire to Fork on YouTube, Harry Fisher recommended this product. After having this for a few months this is now our full time camping cooking utensil. My partner & I love it. We are using it for meals at home as well. I brought a fire pit for my brother in Melbourne and he brought one to help do something different in the covert 19 lock down. He loves it as well. Great product. Have used it more than a few times now and love it. Probably a little bigger than I need when on my own, but given I usually cook for larger groups, this is a bloody awesome addition to my camp kitchen when touring larger groups. Anyone cooking for more than 3 or 4 would be mad not to get one.
Grant Verified owner
I must say.. since purchasing the Ozbraai,I’ve had great fun producing braai like I’m back in SA.
Adding now to the braai,is the grid.
Can’t wait to test!!
Great work ozbraai for your product!!

I placed my order from and for delivery to the USA. Oz Braai had no system as yet for processing or shipment Of USA orders. The company representative immediately went to work to solve the problem. Credit card payment and shipping methods were set up and worked flawlessly. The Braai arrived promptly and in perfect condition, not surprising after seeing the stout construction. The Braai is a gift, so I have not used it, but it looks very functional and perfect for its intended use.
I am very pleased with the friendliness, promptness, attention to detail I have experienced dealing with Oz Braai.

Was excited to receive our Oz Braai & we used it that same day. We are caravanners & enjoy our bush camping so the Oz Braai was a perfect addition to our campfires. The stainless steel frame allows for all situations & height adjustment couldn’t be easier. Would totally reccomend it to anyone who enjoys the bbq lifestyle. Cheers from Wayno in WA!

Why doesn’t all online shopping experiences end up like this. They tell when shipping, the tracking is accurate and it arrived in super fast time. Yes you pay for shipping, but for that experience I would do it every day. Now to get out and braai.

Camp Braai. No, not just a camp braai. I used it at my suburban home on the fire pit at the back. Worked a treat.
Best thing for me is the variable height adjustment. Not only on the frame but the grill as well. Makes for adjustments on different sized meats. Love how small and compact it is. Just chuck it in any car and of you go. Let’s go camping.
Thanks OzBraai.

I view my purchase of the camp braai as testing the waters so to speak for wanting to buy their OZBraai. I am not disappointed. The first pleasant surprise was confirmation from the transport company that my order had been collected. Within 40minutes of placing order. Absolutely fantastic service. The longest wait was for the weekend to use it.
The quality is fantastic. It’s just had its first use. The adjustable depths meant that what I cooked was perfectly held. And the multi level rack was fantastic for varying cooking temperature. Cleaning was not too much of an issue afterwards and then back into it’s supplied cover til next Braai.
Looking forward to your OZBraai. Your quality and service are now assured.

Being somewhat of an adventurer with loads of camping and 4X4 trips, I needed something versatile, compact and both easy to clean and use. The Ozbraai camp braai did not disappoint! It is robust, of high quality and works an absolute treat! No more burnt and undercooked meals, as one has infinite control over the cooking temperature! Outstanding product and really quick, efficient and friendly service.

Bernard Pols Verified owner
I ordered the camp braai grill and it was delivered a few days later. The quality is obvious and it’s enclosed in a travel bag, which will be very useful. The grill is large enough to feed 6 – 10 people (depending on how hungry you are) and it’s much better than anything I’ve seen in Anaconda and BCF. It’s well worth the money and I have shown it to my friends who are very interested in getting it as well. Huge hit!
