Fancy a cuppa? The OZ Braai Camp Billy is a strong, durable billy kettle made from 100% 304 stainless steel and built to boil water over the open fire, coals or gas. It is one of our most exciting releases to date.
As rustically reminiscent of something you’d fashioned in metalworks class back in high school, this campfire kettle just looks bloody good, both in the fire and in the hand.

Made to last a lifetime and with looks that could kill, the butch-ness of the OZ Braai Camp Billy comes from the highest grade 304 stainless steel you can get.
Nothing says “camping novice” quite as loudly as a cheap and nasty aluminium billy melting into a raging campfire. You can rest assured this stainless steel billy kettle is built to shrug it off, backed by a 2 year warranty.
How to use your billy kettle
With almost a 2 litre capacity, there’s enough volume for a round of 8 cups of English breakfast, strong java bean coffee or the richest hot chocolate.
Fill it up and sit it directly in the fire with the lid on, then wait for the steam to release through the top hole to tell you it’s ready.
Who it suits
This campfire kettle suits campers, four wheel drivers and anyone who loves a brew by the fire pit and wants gear that outlasts the trip.
You can just smile and nod as your friends offer advice like, “Careful mate, that’ll melt in there like that,” as though you were born yesterday.

Hi Raymond, thank you for the review. Unfortunately, stainless steel on its own is not always the best material for induction cooktops. However, we are currently working on a small steel plate that will allow it to work on induction in the future.

Good quality Billy however, check the crimp on the wire hanging rope. Ours let go with a full hot Billy and came crashing to the ground.

This billy is used daily. We used to go through billies every 6 months. They get a beating & hang over a fire every morning & evening. Finally a billy built to last. I had to remake a hook handle (the one it came with was inadequate) but the rest of it is fist class.

This thing feels like the brainchild of a pissed off boilermaker who lost one too many brews to poor quality billys tipping over, melting and just being unable to handle the heat… ozbraai have made a vessel that, once you are done boiling water for your coffee – you can then use it as a hammer to build a coffee table. Or demolish a house. If this thing was made any sturdier it would weigh too much to move around, I literally throw it straight into the flames of the campfire – and it just takes it. If I die in the bush and remain undiscovered for a thousand years people will came across my campsite and find my skeleton crumbling to dust, and this thing looking brand new sitting in the ancient firepit. Buy it. It’s really expensive but you will literally never need to buy another one unless you lose it or you want a second one.

Great design and well made . This billy is designed to boil your water and be easy to pour and it dose just that . The handle is great , much safer than a traditional billy and the tapering makes pouring boiling water much less of a hazard . I have used conventional tin billies for many years. My last tin billy needed replacing after developing a rust hole. A was a little hesitant in making the purchase for the Ozbraai Billy but now I have used it multiple times a day on our most recent 3 month trip I can see the value. The Ozbraai Billy worked very well over the coals, on the cast iron gas ring and to my surprise very well on our induction cook top.
